Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice each jalapeño lengthwise to create a pocket, taking care not to cut all the way through. Scoop out the seeds and membranes for milder heat.
- Spoon a generous amount of cream cheese into each jalapeño before adding brisket.
Assembly
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño tightly with a slice of bacon. Use a toothpick to secure if necessary.
- Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
- Brush the jalapeños with BBQ sauce and return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with vegetarian options or alternate fillings like different cheeses. For a healthier version, consider turkey bacon or lean proteins.
