Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the donuts spring back when touched.
