  • 1 pkg Instant Pudding Mix (any flavor) Use dry mix directly; do not prepare according to package directions.
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed) Extra creamy variety can be used for richer texture.
  • 1 cup Cold Milk Always use cold milk for the best results.
  • ½ teaspoon Clear Vanilla Extract Enhances flavor without altering color.
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar Adds sweetness and helps thicken the frosting.

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cold milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Add the instant pudding mix to the bowl and continue whisking for about 2 minutes, or until the mixture thickens. Let it sit for 5 minutes to fully set.
  3. Gently fold the thawed Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until smooth and fluffy. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Your frosting is now ready to use! Spread it over your favorite desserts or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate the frosting for about 15–30 minutes before spreading. Flavor variations can be achieved by adding almond extract or a pinch of cinnamon.
