Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (or mix of beef & pork)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned preferred)
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, for gooey center or topping) Optional for added creaminess.
  • 1 small onion, finely diced

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella (if using), and diced onion.
  3. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  2. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meatloaf mixture to prevent toughness. For a flavor boost, consider adding chopped herbs like parsley or basil, and for moisture, a little milk or ketchup can be added.
