- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little extra butter.
- Pour about ¼ cup of the batter onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
Serving
- Serve immediately with butter on top and optionally add syrup, fresh fruits, or whipped cream.
Notes
Pancakes are best served warm. Ensure not to overmix the batter; small lumps are okay. Adjust skillet heat to avoid burning.
