Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the fillets with salt and pepper.
Making the Garlic Butter
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over each salmon fillet.
- Let the salmon marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Baking
- Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- For additional browning, broil the salmon for 2-3 minutes at the end, keeping an eye on it to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve garnished with fresh parsley or lemon wedges. This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables, quinoa salad, or mashed potatoes. For best results, use fresh ingredients and avoid overcooking the salmon.
