For the Cake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder high-quality recommended
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Icing
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • to taste milk for consistency
For Decoration
  • 2-3 bars Snickers bars chopped
  • to taste caramel sauce for drizzling
  • to taste crushed nuts optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the wet mix to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
Icing and Decoration
  1. For the icing, mix together cocoa powder, softened butter, and powdered sugar.
  2. Gradually add milk until desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Once the cake is cool, spread the icing evenly on top.
  4. Decorate with chopped Snickers bars and drizzle with caramel sauce.
  5. Cut into squares for serving, garnishing with whipped cream or additional caramel if desired.

Notes

For a richer experience, consider serving with coffee or stout. The cake can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5-7 days in the fridge or frozen for 3 months.
