Method
 

Preparation
  1. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears.
  2. Wrap each asparagus spear tightly with a slice of bacon, ensuring minimal overlap.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Place the wrapped asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the grates to prevent falling through.
  3. Grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
Serving
  1. Arrange on a platter, and garnish with parsley and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.

Notes

For a cheesy variation, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the asparagus during the last few minutes of grilling. Experiment with seasonings and sauces to suit your taste.
