  • 1 pound lean beef (top round, flank steak, or sirloin) Choose lean cuts for best results.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional) For a smoky flavor boost.
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For a spicy kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef thinly, about ¼ inch thick, and cutting against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and ensure each piece is fully coated.
  4. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 160°F (71°C).
  2. Arrange the marinated beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry at 160°F for 2 to 3 hours, checking every 30 minutes and flipping halfway through.
  4. Let the jerky cool to room temperature before storing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container or resealable bag for 1–2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
