Ingredients
  

Nachos Base
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips
Cheese and Toppings
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend) Use your preferred cheese mix.
  • 1 cup Jalapeños (fresh or pickled) Can be adjusted based on heat preference.
  • 1 cup Black beans Rinsed and drained.
  • 1/2 cup Olives Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup Green onions Chopped.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream For topping.
  • 1/2 cup Salsa For serving.
  • 1/2 cup Diced tomatoes Optional topping.
  • 1 cup Ground beef or chicken Optional for added protein.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a baking sheet.
  3. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top of the chips.
  4. Add jalapeños, black beans, and any other desired toppings.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, salsa, olives, and green onions.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best taste. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat by placing on a baking sheet and heating in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-10 minutes. To enhance flavor, consider using a mixture of cheeses and adding cooked ground meat for extra protein.
